These were worn once about 8 seasons ago and I decided they were a little too spacious in the heel compared to another pair of Burton 9.5s I'd worn. They've been boxed since. The only minor wear is from normal binding scuff on the heel and toe.
The design is the same on the other side of the boot as seen in the photo of the side shot. These are simple, clean, suede feel, sneaker style boots. Definitely a flexible boot; a nice feature is the Velcro on the sides of the liner tongue that keep it from twisting; they come with optional ankle supports/padding that also use Velcro to hold them in, which aren't visible in the photos. It's kind of a unique liner, not uncommon with Burton boots, where there is basically a laced sleeve that goes around the main liner where your foot is and the sleeve gets cinched up around the liner.
I think the design is to allow more freedom of movement for park and street riders. The ankle pads are between the sleeve and the liner.
